The 42 metre long One and All is South Australia's youth development sail training vessel. It is moored at dock 2 at Port Adelaide.Port Adelaide is under redevelopment at present, with lots of waterside housing being built. In the background you can see a new bridge being constructed. Port Adelaide is several kilometres inland and was once a busy port. Now most cargo ships dock at Outer Harbour, which is at the entrance to the Port River.
I am posting this photo in response to a request from Sailor Girl. Yesterday I went to Port Adelaide to photograph this vessel, and was fortunate to be able to have tour of it as I have a friend who is the ship's engineer.
In addition to the sail training voyages, they regularly run evening and daytime cruises. I now intend going on one of these, so I am sure you will see more of the One and All sometime in the future.

Lovely to look at, still not sure about the ride though. I think the whole concept of these type of vessels developing young people is really worthy and much under rated. You'll have made SG's day!
YES YOU HAVE, GORDON!!!!
THAAAANK YOU!!!!
It's wonderful to see such ships and their projects of Sail training. I wish we had more ships like this in the World, as they are really important for the Youth. By the Sea we learn!!!
(today I'm a bit stressed at work, but I will try to post this picture at my blog as soon as possible)
Gordon, what on earth do you have to do with LOMO??? or Dancing cats??? HELP! I wanna win a prize that Clarice is offering on her today's quizz!!!!
Reminds me of Mystic Seaport!
I imagine that Gordon used to teach English or History or maybe even Music. . . :0
Best wishes

I am not a sailor but if they train young people to sail...sounds good to me! Love your photos of the ship.
