In many of Adelaide's suburbs old houses are being demolished and new ones are being constructed. Often, as shown here, two or more houses are built on one block that originally had one house on it.Traditionally brick-veneer houses have been built with timber frames, but many builders are now using steel as shown here. I took this photo about 6 months ago. Tomorrow I will photograph and post the almost completed houses.

I must say, that steel is a lovely shade of blue; it almost matches the sky. I never thought I'd consider steel framing "pretty" but it does have a charm of its own.
