The record high fuel prices is affecting all goods and services in Australia. Qantas, one of Australia's airline carriers, announced today that it is raising its fares by 4%. This follows a 3% rise last month.

It is scary. The fuel surcharges and airport taxes can be more expensive than the airfares from Singapore to some nearby countries.

I have never flown Qantas but I would like to someday. Although one thing I will say for Australian pilots - they kind of remind me of Australian taxi drivers the - the way they fly the plane!
