Nunga TV was a series of television programmes produced by Indigenous Australian students at Warriapendi School. Nunga is a self-reference term used by local aboriginal people.
As with most radio and TV stations one must have a promotional vehicle, so the staff and students went about creating their own; learning and applying many useful skills along the way including mechanics and art.
Here is a link to a site that features 6 of the episodes produced in 2006.
The ABC Wednesday meme was created by Denise Nesbitt. To find out more about ABC Wednesdays and see other participants' contributions click here

Well that's a fun photo,Gorden...never heard of Nunga...but their logo will get noticed for sure on this vehicle...
This is what we could do with here, local TV. The language is fascinating and Nunga will be dropped in conversation today. Always a little something different here.
Interesting information, that's what I love about blogging. I am always learning something new. That's a wild looking car.
Love that the car is like the indigenous paintings I have seen with the dotted lines and shapes and the idea of a journey.
Perfect! A neat idea, for sure...
Hi gordon,
Very artistic painting, but you won't catch me sitting in it. LOL
I got a T shirt that has Aborigine painting on it. Lots of lizards and brown.
A very different post, and I love the decoration on the vehicle!
Great word "Nunga" and great project for school kids! Jeannie in Sacramento
Nunga is also the word for 'hello' used by the Rock People or Adnyamathana people. Those people are from Wilpena Pound area.
