Oakbank Races

Today along with 55000 other people I went to the races; the Easter race meeting at Oakbank, about 30 kilometres from Adelaide, is billed as the largest picnic race meeting in the world. Even if you are not an avid racegoer it is a great event; people of all ages come to have a fun day.

It is such a relaxed atmosphere; great to be able to park your vehicle in the middle of the course and enjoy socialising and eating and drinking with friends.

The Oakbank Racing Club has been running this event on Easter Saturday and Monday since 1876.

I normally check your blog everyday, however, it seems I am out of track for the past week due to long holiday in Thailand. This is amazing! A Day at the Race. Great Easter.

Thanks for visiting and leave your footprint at my Thailand-In-Photo blog.
