Christmas sand sculpture - completed
This sand sculpture took four world class sculptors six days to complete and used over 40 tons of sand. They used "brickies" sand which is heavier than beach sand. It is a square grained sand and has some clay content. Before sculpting the sand is tightly compacted. Finished sculptures could last for up to three months, but this sculpture will only be on display until just after Christmas.
