When I was photographing in the upper reaches of Sturt Creek yesterday, I noticed this duck. The water was flowing quite swiftly, and the duck paddled into the flow, but remained in one spot; motionless.

When I was photographing in the upper reaches of Sturt Creek yesterday, I noticed this duck. The water was flowing quite swiftly, and the duck paddled into the flow, but remained in one spot; motionless.

I saw a duck in the chicken shop. I've put a pic of it on my blog. Hope not a cousin of this one.

In Australia most people have turkey at Christmas as a treat, so I guess my duck was safe.
