Sea Rescue Services
In South Australia marine rescue services are provided by volunteer groups. In the Adelaide area there are two main organisations - the SA Sea Rescue Squadron and the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard Patrol. In addition to organization owned boats such as the one shown, members' private boats are called upon in the event of a major emergency. The Surf Lifesaving South Australia jet boats (pictured yesterday) may also be involved.
