Unfortunately I had other commitments on the day, so by the time I arrived the competitions were finished. By then though the crowd was being entertained by on stage performances; the headline act being Terra Firma.
This is a photo I took at last year's event. It is quite exciting to watch; and must be even more so to be competing.

I do not know this sport at all, Gordon. Is the wake artificially created and the water-skier has to navigate a field? Good for a photographic adventure ...
Julie - the wake is produced by the boat towing the wakeboard rider. The exciting bit is when a rider hits the wake at an angle and gets airborne. When in the air they do acrobatic manoeuvres.
Yep, I can see that now. Sounds like boy-fun! My guess is that the boat is a bit noisy!! I do like you action shot.
