Meet "Paddy" and "Charlie". These two Norfolk Island Pines were planted in the 1850s by Sir George Kingston and his two sons. The trees were subsequently named after them.

Up the hill from the trees is Marino (Historic Kingston House), the 1840's occasional residence of Sir George Kingston who was South Australia's first deputy surveyor general, an architect and a member of the first parliament.

Paddy and Charlie are the entrance to the Kingston Park Caravan Park, a very popular holiday location; right on the beach and about 17 kilometres from the City centre.

Paddy and Charlie sure has a nice view of the park and beach. They are also great beacons to point vacationers to the area.
How lovely to have such a view. This has given me the idea of naming some trees in our garden!
Happy ABC Wednesday!

Never been introduced to named trees before. Fun!
I'm a tree fan so liked your choice of N.
I hope you don't have too many pines around. They tend to kill all other vegetation - just look under them and you will see that at once.
They were not natural to our part of Norway, but was planted over a period of over 100 years. Now they are a nuisance.
Lovely pine trees. My favourite is the Ponderosa Pine, though. Interesting bit of history here. :D
Well I'm happy to meet Paddy and Charlie. What a lovely place to camp...
