Very common along our metropolitan beaches is the seagull. Many a time I have eaten my lunch on the beach front and been hassled by these ever hungry birds; awaiting for any morsel I might drop or throw their way.
This gull has scooped a prize; a parcel of discarded chips. It was happily pecking away at the paper and retrieving its lunch when a couple of other uninvited guests wanted some of the action.
After a few moments of wing flapping and generally asserting its authority the other birds soon got the message and flew off to find their own pickings elsewhere. No sharing here!
By the way there are other G's here; these photos were taken at Glenelg on the shores of the Gulf of St Vincent.

Gulls are really something else aren't they. Noisy, pesty and never satisfied, like some people I know.
I went to the beach, Coyle's beach for lunch. There were many sea guls and pigeons. Two sea gulls sat on either side of the lamp pole. I mean the two lights were 180 degrees to the pole. I must upload the photos. They are not as good as yours.
Beautiful shots, love that dance...
Great choice for 'G'
Take care

Gulls are incredible: they will eat anything. Scavengers!

Great day Wednesday folks :)
Thanx for the Visit :)
These are SO peaceful! Just what I needed!!hughugs
We get a lot of gulls around the garbage dump and at MacDonalds. They look so much nicer on a beech.
Gulls may be common scavengers, but they are interesting birds. Nice photos; good "G" post.
Excellent shots - love the action at the lower view.
Great shots! We have lots of gulls here where I live in Seattle and they can be a worrisome lot! But I like them anyway. Thanks for sharing!
Gull have an a uncanny knack of spotting a tourist from a local. Ours like ice cream cones.
Wonderful shots...I can almost HEAR them! ")
