Gallipoli Underpass

Today it was announced by the premier, Mr Rann, that the new road under Anzac Highway be named Gallipoli Underpass. The 118 million dollar underpass will be opened to traffic later this month; significantly improving traffic flow. Another underpass is scheduled to be built under Port Road.

This morning the public was given the opportunity to walk through the underpass at a community day; entertainment by the 10/27 Bn South Australian Army Band and other bands, a free sausage sizzle and activities for children.

Ilove your photos of Adelaide, they're the next best thing to actually going there. Keep them coming.

We have a bee in our bonnet about that particular engagement, don't we. Especially if we are a politican coming up to election time. What a cynic I am!

Hi:)

Greetings!

Very lovely photos.

Sub ways have become a necessity in towns to ease traffic jams.

In our town Kochi we need these subways very badly but no one is doing anything about it. On the other hand there is a plan to set up a metro rail. Only God knows when this will become a reality. Besides, setting up a metro rail in a congested town is going to cause great traffic bottle necks. I dread the days to come.

Best wishes :)
