Another queen statue in Adelaide (I've already posted Queen Adelaide); this is a statue of Queen Victoria that takes pride of place in the centre of Adelaide City. Queen Victoria was the reigning monarch during South Australia's formative years. This monument was erected in 1894; presented by Sir Edwin Thomas Smith, a prominent South Australian citizen - a brewer and member of local and state government.

WHAT A COINCIDENCE! I also posted Queen Victoria today!!!!
A brewer erected her? Viki is lucky that she doesn't have a pint in her hand:) Happy Q day!
Good Day Adelaide, hi Gordon. She must have been some lady the great Queen V.
Great choice/ Tyra
It's probably a good thing we have these kinds of statues around...we'd never remember who they were or what they looked like.
Great shot for "Q" Day, Gordon!
I bet she wouldn't have been amused to have been provided by a brewer! An imposing statue.
On behalf of the Team, thank you for participating.
