The Pool of Tears

This is a monument erected at the site of Colebrook Home at Eden Hills. Many of the Stolen Generations' children lived here between 1943 and 1972.

I wonder if there is a monument like that for American Indian children, who like the aborigines were taken from their homes and schooled to "be like us."

How many of these children returned to the bush? Or have they been assimilated to the city white man's way of life?

There are Indigenous Aboriginal children all over the world including, Africa, China and many many more who have suffered the same story and I believe acknowledgement has been given in most countries including the American and Canadian Indian Aboriginals.

To answer the second question there is a variation, many Aboriginals live their traditional lifestyles to some degree all over Australia, whilst many have had to adjust to the economies style of life as it is also in many other countries.
